The Hotel Cort , a modern boutique hotel in Palma de Mallorca, Spain has been converted from a bank than a century ago. The process was supported by a collaboration between interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violan and architect Vicente Alcover Ripoll and Luis Morant Jaume.
The hotel has 14 suites and two double rooms and is located in the heart of the historic city that offers a cultural mix of Roman, Moorish and European influences embedded. Created to focus on the entire guest knowledge, suites, lounges, the restaurant and terrace offer all a strong connection to this affluent, cosmopolitan city and its nearby island beaches, although a homely atmosphere.
A soothing palette of white and blue washes the modern interior in a sea of elegance. Woods are naturally bleached, lending a rustic yet earthy energy to the well-equipped rooms. The most striking is probably the most prosperous periwinkle blue velvet that appears in plush lounge chairs, sitting cross-legged stools and wooden chairs.
