Artist Stephen Turner has worked with the designers to the & amp; # 8220Exbury Egg & amp; # 8221, which is to provide a short-term, energy-efficient self-sustaining operation space in the mouth of the River Beaulieu, UK. Turner is to live in the egg for 12 months to examine the change pattern of the marine ecology, inspired in the production of art, influenced and informed his surroundings. Photos: Nigel Rigden
The egg is created from the cold molded plywood and nearby wood, and it is about 20 meters long and 9 meters wide. The egg will rise and fall with the flow from the mouth, floating on the water at higher tide and rest on the mud at low tide. The interior of the egg is a simple room with a hammock, a small stove, a desk and a wet room.
